Butler in Bahrain

In an exciting new venture instigated by Jake Warren of The Highclere Stud and designed to showcase our brand in a part of the world entirely new to us, Humphrey Butler Ltd have agreed to sponsor a race in Bahrain both in 2022 and 2023.

This meant a maiden visit to the Kingdom for Humphrey in between Christmas and the New Year.

The trip was immaculately co-ordinated by Fatema Albalooshi and Ed Veale of The Bahrain Turf Club, while Eman Al Sarraf of 217 Public Relations was tireless in working her magic to promote the HB profile to a wholly new audience. Humphrey took ten of our more spectacular pieces which were modelled throughout the day by the gorgeous Victoria and Tory and happily these were very well received and we are thrilled to be sending five of the pieces out to new homes in the Middle East.

Humphrey was also delighted to meet HH Shaikh Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, who is currently a huge supporter of racing in this country and owns Commissioning, one of the favourites for this year’s 1,000 Guineas.

The Humphrey Butler Fine Jewellery Cup was won by Shaikh Sultan Al Khalifa, who enjoyed a bumper day with five individual winners and Humphrey loved the whole experience, all the more given the assistance of jockey Saffie Osborne, English racing’s most elegant ambassador!
