GemGenève

The beginning of May saw our second trip to the shores of Lac Léman for GemGenève, a very new date in the international jewellery calendar, but one that has already asserted itself as an essential fixture.

It was a great chance for us to catch up with some old friends and seek out some new treasures. The international appetite for high quality jewellery remains strong, with a real hunger for the unique, unusual and, as ever, for those jewels signed by the great 20th century makers (in particular Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels). We are pleased to report a number of successes in placing pieces into new overseas collections, including a magnificent Van Cleef bracelet from the 1940s and an important natural pearl necklace with impeccable British provenance. So, if you are thinking about selling, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are always happy to give a steer, whatever the value.

Our sights are now set on our next adventure when we will be packing our betting boots and heading to the rather less staid surroundings of Las Vegas and the Vegas Antique Jewellery and Watch Show running from the 30st May to the 3rd June.
